Playa Diamante Dominican Republic Resort & Private Residences – Dominican Republic

Project Overview:

The promoters of Playa Diamante are developing a luxury oceanfront resort on a 43-hectare site, located on the north-east coast of the Dominican Republic, between Samana and Puerto Plata, near the town of Cabrera. The project includes a 150 key luxury hotel, 43 “six bedroom” luxury villas, restaurants and bars, tennis courts, swimming pool and spa.

Horwath HTL prepared a business plan and feasibility study for the project and is assisting the client in the selection of a suitable brand, and is also accompanying the promoter in the market positioning for the luxury hotel and obtainment of financing.
The studies included an analysis of economic environment, site analysis and description, project description, market tourism segment orientation, benchmarking of comparable destinations and resorts, analysis of the estimated supply and demand of the hotel project and villa components, analysis of the hotel facilities, services and amenities, estimated future use, prospective financial analysis and evaluation.

Project Status:

After financing has been secured and the required land certificates acquired, beginning of construction is anticipated.
